Just received a new shipment of music from Japan today. Some great stuff, check it out if you have a chance. This will be updated whenever I get new stuff in the mail.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Canopus - Endless Sacrifice

More heavy Arkangel/Maroon influenced hardcore from Japan. They love their edge metal over there. Brand new release

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Extinguish The Fire/Onfall/Blood Calls We Die - Kill A Theory (3 Way Split)

3 way split between Extinguish The Fire, Onfall, and Blood Calls We Die. Loads of metal here...great split.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 The Ten Commandments - Baptised In Suffering

The Ten Commandments used to be called Eve of the Apocalypse and released a track on The Document comp. Members of Loyal to the Grave play 90s style hardcore that you would swear were Arkangel outtakes. I was seriously blown away...this is their demo CDR.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 End of Statement - The Testament

Great release from End of Statement. These dudes love the 90s Goodlife band and it shows in the artwork and the musical style. They play a good mix of 90s hardcore in that Arkangel vein. Lots of biblical images in the layout as well.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 God's Heritage - Handheld Civilization

God's Heritage features members of Loyal to the Grave and State Craft and remind me alot of bands like Unbroken, Morning Again, and Earth Crisis playing that chug style of hardcore that I love so much.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Loyal To The Grave - Still Climbin' Still Believin'

Possibly one of the biggest bands in Japan right now. 2 of my buddies play in this one and they really know how to write some good hardcore. Fast heavy hardcore in that Another Victim vein. This is the last recording featuring their original vocalist, Manabu, and their 2nd full length.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Genesis - Eternal Exclamation

Genesis (not the band from England, these guys are from Japan) play heavy hardcore in that 90s chug technical vein that bands like Strongarm and Shai Hulud made popular. The band also features ex-members of God's Heritage.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Various Artists - War Must Be Declared Part III

The 3rd installment in the War Must Be Declared series this time featuring tracks from End of Statement, Blood of the Fallen, Ragnarok, Hand of God, All The Suffering, Doggy Hoods, Apocrypha, and Ataraxia. Great glimpse into whats happening in the Japanese scene today.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 State Craft/Calusari - Evil Communications Corrupt Good Manners (Split)

Hiro found a few copies of this split I didn't even know existed. State Craft, the godfathers of Japanese hardcore, released a split towards the end of the band's life with Calusari. Each band plays 2 originals as well as a cover. Limited and who knows if Ill be able to get more of these. Get em while you can

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 1618 - From This Day Forward

1618 are from Reno, NV and feature ex-members of Fall Silent. The band plays a mix of 90s influenced hardcore with elements of Refused in there as well. Hard stuff.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Vow of Hatred - Self Titled

American band Vow of Hatred play beatdown hardcore in that Bulldoze vein or perhaps Merauder, tuned way down. Heavy as hell hardcore. Released by the Clandestine Project out of Japan

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Cheyenne - Doom Prophets

Cheyenne are from Seattle, WA and to be honest they play a pretty wide variety of hardcore. I hear elements of E-Town Concrete, Candiria, Furious Styles, early Converge, and Acacia Strain in there. Excellent recording to top it off. Released by a new label out of Japan called the Clandestine Project.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Loyal To The Grave/Armed For Battle/Winds Of Plague - 3 Way Split

3 way split featuring the US' xAFBx and Winds of Plague and Japan's Loyal to the Grave. 7 songs total.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Unbreakable - Self Titled 7 inch

Unbreakable are from Belgium and play fast hardcore in the vein of Chain of Strength, early Turning Point, and Judge. 5 songs of straight edge hardcore.

Some incredible releases so don't sleep...here's a just a quick look into a few of the new releases we carry

Do you like Unbroken? Well Against All My Fears does and they show it on this full length. 9 song of 90s influenced hardcore from one Santiago, Chile's finest. Vocals are sung in Spanish. Also known as Contra Todos Mis Miedos.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Aspire - Self Titled

Aspire is a new band from the Ukraine that is making a stir. They sound like a cross between Trial and Outspoken. 6 song EP. Vocals are sung in Russian with English translation in the insert.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Cinder - De Principio A Fin

Cinder have been around since 2001, playing youth crew revival influenced hardcore. With numerous releases to their credit, this is a collection of 3 EPs from Barcelona's favorite sons. Fast and melodic, reminds of Ten Yard Fight or maybe Mouthpiece (see what I did there?). 16 songs. Voca

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Half The Battle - What We Have

Fast, youth crew influenced hardcore from the Philippines. 14 songs of straight edge hardcore.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Ill Omen - Self Titled

4 song 7 inch from one of the newest bands out of Finland. 4 songs of Death Threat/Blood For Blood/Terror influenced hardcore. The band also has an upcoming split so be on the look out for that.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Nouvelle Gaia - El Arte De Engendrar El Miedo

The newest record from Chile's Nouvelle Gaia. Metal with a hardcore edge...in Europe they call it "edge metal". 10 new songs from these vegan warriors. Vocals are sung in both English and Spanish.

The debut full length from "the South American Mosh Machine". Vegan straight edge hardcore from Argentina. Out of print in the US. Vocals are sung in Spanish.

Stuck In The Past Distro Update 1/15/10 175 Reconcile - Self Titled

The newest full length from Buenos Aires Reconcile. This band has been making serious waves recently and is poised to take over the hardcore world. Top notch recording, the band play a good mix of 90s influenced hardcore with early 2000s creeping in. Vocally, Fedex reminds me ALOT of Rory from Standfast/How We Are/Soul Control, one of my favorite vocalist. You can hear some Reach The Sky, Abhinanda, and By The Grace of God in there...vocals are in English.
