Not to hijack Chip's "Attn: Ryan Hex", but I've been proof reading the final issue of At Both Ends, and I was very happy to see your loving write up about my hometown.
Re: Attn: Ryan Hex
Hes sent that to you to proof read too huh?
Man, Stephen Fallis ought to be paying us to be his editors!
That zine looks great though, I can't wait to see the finished thing. It will take me weeks to get through it all.
And for the record, yes, I love Portland. Last I saw the HC scene was so-so, but I think it's everything else about the town that I really like.

Hey, gimme a break. I needed to hit up some people I trust! I'll pay you back in hockey pucks or maple syrup.
I can't wait to hand these over to you guys. I expect the finished product to be really sick, I'm trying to win the zine of the year award.
I talked to my printer today an it looks like I have 4000lbs of just the magazines, this does not include the record portion. In the end each package will weight about 1.5 lbs when assembled.
Oh yeah, new Grade songs. Good, good time.

It's usually so-so. The problem is that we're a small town and it gets splintered into so many sub-genres. A few kids will go to varying shows, but it's really rare for a show to be put together with bands from those different sub-genres. If you're Bane or Terror, you'll draw out a couple hundred kids, but for most part, shows are stuck around 50 kids.

Dude, I know the feeling. I just received 32 boxes of LP covers... I don't know where I'm going to store them all. It's a far cry from 2 tons of zines, but I hear ya. I'll see you in Seattle for Undertow.

Speaking of Portland, my best friend is planning on moving out there next summer. Besides the fact that he hates L.A., the weather and high percentage of white liberals GREATLY appeals to him. In fact, my wife and I might move out there ourselves at some point.
