A Document Of Nothing
Just came across a copy and stumbled upon a few bands I am unfamiliar with. Not saying I like these bands necessary, just looking for more info on them (past bands, future bands, label, etc) and maybe Mp3s of their other material.
Bands I'm looking for the extra info on...
Cycle
Stedding
Two Line Filler
Walleye
Combination Grey
Autumn (definitely want Mp3s and lyrics)
Rain Still Falls
Surface
Mainspring
Thanks in advance

Re: A Document Of Nothing
Thank you endlessly for the Autumn tracks. Its not easy to type in "Autumn" and find Mp3s.
Anyhow, what are the songs "Perfect Surface" and "Suffer"from? Comp tracks I am assuming? I feel like I have the comp that Perfect Surface is on. I think its the song that turned me on to this band. Its my favorite song thusfar, I can't wait to go through all of these Mp3s!

Re: A Document Of Nothing
Mainspring had a split release with Roosevelt's Inaugural Parade on Conquer the World.
Autumn had an album on Crisis Records i believe (the subsidary of Revelation that held Shai Hulud)
Two Line Filler was a great canadian emo band, which theres a post on this canadian blog

If someone could up that comp, i would be immensely grateful!

Re: A Document Of Nothing
Cycle was basically Dayspring (who was formerly known as Grip, until the drummer of Slayer's other band made them change the name)
they had i think 2 records, and honestly the Dayspring "dreamscape" LP was the best thing to come from Cen Penn
Justin covered Surface... i remember seeing that band like 5 or 6 times, and they always seemed to me like their angst was manufactured.. like they listened to too many Frail records and just wanted to see how many Bloodlink patches they could fit on their backpacks. I ALWAYS watched Surface when they played, and actually took some really good photos of them, but i never got into them recorded.

Agreed...love that record. What else did they release? I know they had a track on the Eternal comp
Re: A Document Of Nothing
For some reason, I have the cassette insert for the Grip release on New Age Records if anyone needs it, haha.
Thanks for the uploads
Thanks for the uploads
Re: A Document Of Nothing
LOVED this comp when it came out. that harvest song on there ("cessation") was the song that got me into them.
also i was always super stoked that this comp was put out by a couple of kansas city labels.
anyone remember second nature fanzine?

Stedding
Stedding went under a number of different names. It's essentially the more 'rock' band that Shane Durgee did after Framework split up. Eventually, they became Tread... and soon enough Shane left that band though they continued under the name Tread with a different vocalist.
Shane started doing a band shortly after that called The Farthest Man, which also had members of Beta Minus Mechanic, Earth Crisis, God Below, and The Funeral. They were way better and more on the Quicksand tip. They released a demo and had a couple songs on the intitial Syracuse Comp. that Watermark Records released. It's worth tracking down if you can find it.

perfect surface was on stones to mark a fire. suffer was on the tie that binds. both are comp cds.
if you want, i could rip/upload those comps. they might be easy to find, though.

Re: A Document Of Nothing
This thread rules. A - I'm getting so many things that I need and B - I'm realizing that my CD collection is way sweeter than I thought. I have every comp talked about in this thread ... such a fun feeling. Thanks for the info, rob mafia.
Anyhow, I KNEW that I knew this Stedding name, I should have put it together when I read their address in A Document Of Nothing comp (only info given on any bands in the layout). I like The Farthest Man tracks on the Syracuse Comp, but would love Mp3s of their demo. I'd be into Mp3s of the Funeral and Mistletoe demos too if you have those. I used to have The Funeral but my comp fucked up my Mp3s (only time this has ever happened to me).
HDS7, Could you upload that Rain Still Falls EP?

If you go to my friend Pat's blog you can find The Funeral demo up there... you might have to scroll through the history a bit to find it.

And Chip put up the final Funeral recording (with artwork/lyrics) on the xstuckinthepastx site awhile back if you don't have that yet either.
Re: A Document Of Nothing
I am lucky enough to own that final recording. I actually tracked that down before I found the full length. I miss all of the reunions I want to see. Mistletoe demo?
Re: A Document Of Nothing

Re: A Document Of Nothing
I don't know enough about the band to say anything relevant. Not really into blog posts that are just links to the album.
