NEW PRE-ORDERS TOMORROW

Pre-orders for the Skin Like Iron- Arrival LP and the Rearranged- s/t EP will begin on Monday May 23rd at 9am Pacific. We will have new merch for both bands as well as some great package deals available. Both releases will include a digital download card as well as all the great stuff that we always include in our releases.

Here’s some more information on these sweet releases:

Skin Like Iron- Arrival LP
RXR-022

Skin Like Iron's new LP, "Arrival" features 10 songs that are mournful, somber and eerily melodic. Fusing an eclectic mixture of influences from Wolfbrigade to Black Flag, Siege, and even The Pixies and The Cure, this album succeeds in accurately portraying Skin Like Iron's unique take on hardcore music. Huge guitar riffs combine with powerful basslines and pounding rhythms to form dramatic compositions that are saturated with melody and atmosphere. The music is supported by lyrics that search for hope and reason, while questioning the damages human beings visit upon one another. Each song is an attempt to reconcile the way in which life's fleeting moments of beauty are tempered by depression and failure. "Arrival" is a record about duality: Hope and hopelessness. Beauty and ugliness. Virtue versus the failings of human nature.

"Arrival" was recorded at The Atomic Garden with Jack Shirley, and is the band's most ambitious production to date. The album artwork was produced by guitarist/vocalist, Alex Capasso, and continues the visual theme of the band's two previous 12" albums.
The pressing info for this record is 200 on red vinyl, 300 on yellow vinyl, and 500 on black vinyl. You can check out the two songs
“Consequences” and “Legions” from the new record at the band’s bandcamp page and also get the latest news from the band at their Facebook page.

Rearranged- s/t EP
RXR-023

The debut EP on REACT! Records of Moscow's powerhouse Rearranged picks up right where they left off on their previous release, always showcasing the band’s musical and lyrical growth. Drawing influences from classic DC and Orange County-based acts, the follow up of their full-length 'New Forms' delivers five brand new songs of speedy and intense hardcore punk that sometime resemble Minor Threat and Insted, yet managing to attain a character all its own.

Recorded and engineered by Mikhail Gabolaev at PravdaPro Studio in March and mixed by Gustav Brunn at Studio Bengt in Lund, this release proves to be the bands most mature and cohesive work to date. Art duties handled by Ulf Hammarkärr of The Effort fanzine fame.

The pressing info for this record is 200 on white vinyl, 300 on blue vinyl, and 500 on black vinyl. You can check out the two songs “Disengage Now” and “Drilling” from the new record at the band’s bandcamp page and also get the latest news from the band at their Facebook page.

NEW RELEASES SHIPPING

Noose, Get The Most and Clearsight vinyl is now in and we'll begin shipping soon! We just need to get the covers on, add the essays, download codes, stickers and other extras that we put in each release. If you ordered Noose by itself, then we already shipped your order and it should be arriving any day now. If you ordered it with Get The Most and Clearsight, then give it a little more time and it will be in your mailbox. Sorry for the delay on these!

Speaking of delays, we had to reject the test press for the new Praise record, and get it repressed. Hopefully the next round will be better and we'll be able to ship those soon too! To hold you until then - check out the FREE Praise record on our site now.

THIS IS HARDCORE AND SOUND&FURY

We were all counting down to see the This Is Hardcore line-up announcement this week, and got a good laugh out of the video! Looks like we'll have a wait a little longer to see the full list of bands, and therefore you'll need to wait a little longer to know what React! bands are playing... But yes, there will be some React! bands on the bill!

Also, it's the first year there will be an official React! merch booth. We're discussing some fun merch items so don't forget to spin by the booth and see what's new when you're there.

Back on the west coast, we will have two bands playing Sound&Fury, and will let you know who they are as soon as we're allowed to announce.

REACT RECORDS SHOWCASE

As you know, the React! showcase is coming up September 23/24- only 4 months away! It's at the famous Gilman St in Berkeley, CA, and in case you missed the announcement, it will be Get The Most's last show.

This means:
Yes, you should book your flight now before prices go up.
Yes, we will have pre-order tickets.
Yes, we will have a special release like we did last year.
Yes, we'll be announcing the rest of the line-up soon.

We'll keep you posted!

GET THE MOST IS BREAKING UP

Oh, you did miss the announcement? Yes, Get The Most's last show is scheduled for the React! showcase..

Here is the news, straight from the band:

"From the first show in Today's man's living room where we dropped our demo to the upcoming final gig at Gilman Street, Get the Most has stayed true to our deal. We played less than 50 shows but every one of them was a great time. A GTM set usually involved us 5 dudes bouncing off the walls to the soundtrack of positive thinking hardcore. Face would most likely be wearing some obscure shirt from a record store that closed years ago, Ace would spend more time in the air then on the stage, Manager/guitarist Beej would be making "SOUL REBEL" squeal with tone, AO would be making it look too easy on his homemade custom drum kit, and Bubs might be wearing a pair of TFS sweat pants that make him look like he is wearing a diaper.

We made a lot of friends along the ride and managed to play the west coast, the east coast and even Europe. With our camp focusing their time on other bands and careers, we decided to go out on what we call a high note; The REACT! showcase. I want to thank Peter Hoeren and Aram Arslanian for putting out our records, and to anyone who helped us out."

Want to know more? Check out a new interview with Kyle from Get the Most on our blog now.

Just in case you don't have them yet, and you want to sing along at the showcase, you can grab their LP "Together" (RXR-010) now at our store, and we'll be shipping out their self-titled LP (RXR-020) any day now! Their and our first release, "Core Values" (RXR-001) is out of print.

FREE SUMMER SAMPLER
