Sarin and 607 (mid 90s upstate NY melodic hc)
was just curious if anyone had uploads or could of these 2 bands. i have 7"s from them but have no way to get them onto my computer right now.
Sarin was what became of Birthrite and had a 7" on Immigrant Sun (awesome layout, like all early ISR layouts).
607 was from Binghamton, NY. they were supposed to do a LP but i dont think they ever did (i dont really know though, i only have a 7"). saw them a ton of times playing hc and punk shows when going to school up there in 94/95.
thanks for any help.

thanks a lot Chip. take your time. i figured the Sarin 7" wouldnt be a hard one on this board. the 607 one, i knew that would be a much harder find as i never really met anyone outside of that area's scene who knows them.

Chip, what's the quality of your mp3 files like? I still have the 7", and can rip it if the mp3s you have are a little suspect.

Just checked and mine is at 192. If you want to do it, that would be good...as well as scan the cover. Do you have the Santa Sangre demo?

Here it is, both s/t 7" and "live on WFMU 1/9/1997" in one file. I remember reading an interesting interview with someone from Sarin who was previously in Birthright, but can't remember where it was (which zine).

thanks a lot!
yeah if i remember correctly Sarin was just about all the Birthrite guys, maybe minus 1 of them. i went to school in Ithaca, NY and at the time Birthrite was like "the" local hc band there and i really dug them. thats why i liked Sarin cause it was interesting seeing them go in a very different direction musically. thanks again!

Thanks for posting!
I saw Sarin once, maybe twice and was blown away. I know I saw them at The Haunt and got the 7inch then. I put it on cassette and later put it on my computer and still listen to it. Thanks for posting the live set. It's great to hear songs of their's I probably only heard that one night. Understandably it's hard to find anything related to them. Thanks again!
