Why don't people post here any more?
Did the 90s hardcore revival die before it got off the ground?
This is probably the most useful message board I've ever partaken in.

It's a trade off I think. I would say that in general the more people post on a forum, the more it becomes bullshit. At least I see this happening on the hardcore forums I (in some cases: used to) go to. At least when people think before they post, even if it means lesser posts, chances are it'll be more worthwhile.
Having said that... Passover... This band needs more love.

Yes they do. Probably the best metalcore band from 90s. I have their pre-Passover band's split 7" from when they were called Transit ripped. I was going to post it along with their cassette demo until I went to pull out the cassette to rip and it was blank. I'm working on it, though. I'm in contact with the guitarist, Brad, who hooked me up with the Transit material (despite half of it being blank, haha).

wow. i'm surprised that people even know/knew who they are/were. haha.
i have their split cd, a friend had some demo of transit. didn't even know they had a 7"

Are you on the Livewire Records message board? That one's pretty active and good.

Passover is amazing. I remember hearing their Split they did with (the name is escaping me right now) and that first Passover song was brutal.

i feel like message boards in general are a little dead right now, unless you count the amount of utter GARBAGE on b9. seriously. just got legit angry because some dudes made a new chapter of Hardline and started a blog then thread about it.
i mainly post on here to advertise things that im doing. i think the people who read this blog and board have similar interests, so i like to share.
i think the blog has been a little patchy lately as well, mostly due to everyone's busy life schedules, and the fact that the blog is about a fairly specific part of the scene.

I visit the site, almost maniacally, hoping for updates and tend to check the boards a lot, but don't post so often. Im not a huge poster as far as any message board goes, but i might start trying to take part in this one a bit more since its not full of the typical posturing and douchebagery and people actually seem mature and cool...which i guess kind of sums up the nostalgia for the whole time period and style, haha.
We could start the usually inevitable (but surprisingly missing) shameless self promotion thread. I'm sure half of us are in bands, apparently there are guys screen printing and working on labels and such.
